Adenike Adeyemi’s Profile

Nike Adeyemi was born to the family of Professor Gabriel and Princess Aderonke Ogunmola in Ibadan, Oyo State. She graduated from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) with a B.sc and M.sc in Architecture in 1989 and 1991 respectively. She also has M.sc in Business Administration from the Business School Netherlands in 2009.

She became a born-again Christian in 1986 and there and then decided to serve the Lord passionately. Her walk with God birthed in her the burden for women in need and despair, especially ladies who have gone through one form of abuse or the other. It was out of this burden that the vision for the Real Woman Foundation was born.

The Real Woman Foundation, formerly registered in 2002, was founded to bring healing to distressed women as a means to building the nation. The foundation strives to get rid of sexual violence against women and also the scourge of prostitution in our society.
The Foundation hosts impactful periodic seminars and conferences that basically address all the issues that women go through in their everyday lives in relationship with themselves and the society at large. These life-transforming and society-building seminars feature different seasoned speakers who are successful in their various endeavors.

The Real Woman Foundation equally runs a home (Rehabilitation & Orphanage) where distressed and displaced ladies, abandoned and abused children are offered shelter and a new lease of life in a bid to help them fulfill their destinies and to become more useful to the society. The ladies and children who reside in this home are catered for solely by the foundation and all the foundation requires of them is the willingness to better their lives and adhere to the mentoring process provided for them. Also, educational and vocational opportunities and entrepreneurial skills are made available to them. Some of these ladies are now running small-scale business and have actually acquired laudable visions for a better future for themselves.
Nike Adeyemi has authored three books: The Real Woman, Building a Successful Home, Great Parenting, and her latest book is Woman: an Asset to the Nations. She is a passionate helper and giver, many in need have enjoyed her comforting readiness to practically meet their need.

She is a recipient of the PSR Woman Empowerment Award, The Woman of Merit Award, Award of Excellence and Outstanding contributions in service to humanity, Nation building and The Contemporary Age Women of virtue Award, amongst others. She participated in the 2003 British Council International Seminar on Violence against Women: Tackling Trafficking. She also participated in the June 2006 stakeholders’ finalization and adoption workshop on the 6th CEDAW country periodic report under the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.

Nike Adeyemi is married to Sam Adeyemi, a renowned motivational speaker who is the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Center and President of Success Power International. She is a dedicated mother of three lovely children and a mentor to many young women and men.
