Daystar empowers 281 young people for entrepreneurial success
Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos today concluded a training for members and non-members in different fields.
They include Shoe Making, Beaded Jewelry, Graphic Design, Web Design, Pastries & Drink Making, Cake Making & Decoration, Dress Making, Event & Venue Decoration, Hair-Styling, Photography, Bridal Accessories & Headpieces, Generator Repairs and Make Up.
The quarterly Program, a corporate social responsibility of the church, started the 20th Edition on Monday October 3rd, and ended Friday October 14th, 2016 at Plot A3C Ikosi Road, Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the registrar, Mrs Olushola Toyin, Daystar Skills Acquisition Programme, (DSAP) is free and beneficiaries were required to have little education for them to grasp what the program entails, and meet the age limit of above 16 years.
Speaking on the graduation requirement, she said students must pass through the school for the period of ten days, and they must submit assignment/projects given during the training. She confirmed this 20th edition of the programme graduated a total of 281 students.
“ I’m most grateful because I can now exchange value with the graphics skills I have learnt for free within these two weeks. I pray God bless Daystar richly,” Lolu Adeoye, one of the excited participants, said while sharing on his experience.
Over the past years, the Daystar Skill Acquisition Programme (DSAP) has played a pivotal role in raising a unique breed of young entrepreneurs who would do business with a difference.
