Staying Power (4)
Pastor Sam Adeyemi
Our emphasis has been on the fact that we cannot see the fulfillment of God’s promises without staying power. Hebrews 10:35-36 shows how we need confidence and endurance.
To develop staying power continued;
6. Don’t compromise your faith in God. Hold on strong to your values as a Christian. Daniel 3:15-18 we see that if you’re going to last till you see the fulfillment of God’s promises we need to hold some deep conviction. KnowGod for yourself and know who you’re believe in. If you don’t believe Him and hold out on small things put absolute trust in Him and refuse palliating, you will prove Him because He will come through for you. Hebrews 11:35-40 describes how the people who ran the first lap of the race that held on to their conviction. It’s a dangerous thing when someone cannot fully trust God. You cannot mix God with something else. Put God first and have a dangerous conviction.
7. Align with God’s timing. Habakkuk 2:2-3. God lives in a dimension of timelessness. Time is a function of this universe. God created the season of our lives and there’s nothing more difficult than making something to happen outside God’s season for our life. Progress is doing what God wants you to do per time including standing on the same spot as seen in Numbers 9:18-20. Don’t judge your journey by other people’s journey. James 1:12
